| Interested in joining the IAF? It's only $12/year for an individual or $18/year for husband & wife. Members receive a monthly newsletter with upcoming events, past results, points of interest, etc. Members are awarded points to compete in the IAF Point Championships. Points are awarded from your single highest place finish. In other words, if you take a 1st place in the left AND right-hand class, you still only get 10 total points for that tournament. | The IAF is the largest armwrestling organization in the Northeast, running upwards of 15 +/- sanctioned tournaments a year throughout New England, New York, and Pennsylvania. The IAF uses professional stand-up tables, with straight-across pads or staggered pads. Two referees are used during the competition at all times. All tournaments are run on a double-elimination basis. In other words, you have to lose twice to be eliminated from the competition. IAF tournaments have the option to offer these classes: -Men's Right Hand Open -Men's Right Hand Novice -Women's Right Hand Open -Men's Right Hand Masters, age 40+ -Men's Left Hand Open -Men's Left Hand Novice -Women's Left Hand Open -Kids 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 -Teens The meet director decides which classes will be offered. |
