Results & Video Vermont Mid-Winter Warm-Up
Three Maine pullers made the trip to Vermont yesterday for the IAF Mid-Winter Warm-Up. Congrats to Mark Vieira for winning the Right 154-lb class, defeating long-time rivals Tim Sears and Kris Mikels. Maine’s John Cervantes didn’t make weight therefore had to pull the Right 220-lb class, but still made a good showing with a 3rd-place finish. I managed 2nd-place in the Left Supers class, finishing behind legendary Jerry Cadorette. Although Jerry beat me in the prelims, I did manage to pin Jerry in the finals, forcing a decisive 3rd pull to determine 1st place (in which Jerry won). The tournament was a great one, with a heavy pro turnout, and great team representation from MA, NY, NH, RI, VT, and of course ME.
